HAMMERFALL's 'No Sacrifice, No Victory' Certified Gold In Sweden
March 20, 2009"No Sacrifice, No Victory", the new album from Swedish melodic metallers HAMMERFALL, has been certified gold in the band's home country for sales in excess of 20,000 copies.
Says guitarist Oscar Dronjak: "This was a very welcome wake-up call in Bamberg, where we're playing tonight. This is the sweetest of the gold albums we have gotten so far, we all believed so hard in this new album and line-up and it's great to see such results. Sacrifices have been made, and now victory is attained!"
Note: The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) in Sweden has revised the sales requirements for albums to reach gold status in the country twice in the last seven years — from the pre-2002 level of 40,000 to the current 20,000.
HAMMERFALL's March 23, 2009 concert at Docks in Hamburg, Germany will be broadcast live on NuclearBlast.de and Hammerfall.net.
